I see general dentistry as the basis of any dental plan. It allows me to detect problems early, treat lesions conservatively and decide when referral or more complex planning is appropriate.

Common questions
How often should I have a dental check-up?
The frequency depends on each person’s oral health. In many cases, regular check-ups are recommended to detect decay, gum inflammation, tooth wear or other problems before they progress. Patients at higher risk may need more frequent reviews.
Why is it important to treat tooth decay even if it does not hurt?
Tooth decay can progress without causing pain at first. When pain, intense sensitivity or infection appears, treatment is usually more complex. Detecting and treating it early helps preserve more tooth structure and avoid complications.
What does a full dental check-up include?
It may include an examination of the teeth, gums, oral tissues, bite, previous restorations and, when appropriate, complementary tests such as X-rays. The assessment makes it possible to establish a diagnosis and decide whether treatment or monitoring is needed.
Does a dental cleaning replace a check-up?
No. Cleaning helps remove plaque, tartar and surface stains, but a check-up has a different purpose: assessing the general condition of the mouth and detecting problems. In many cases, both are complementary.
What can I do to prevent dental problems?
Prevention is based on correct daily hygiene, interdental brushes or floss when indicated, limiting sugars, regular check-ups and early treatment of small problems before they become more complex treatments.
